Inspections of the UK’s ageing railway tunnels are a key part of the maintenance regime, important for the early recognition and remediation of any potential defects. Geoptic’s imaging techniques provides measurements of the interior of the tunnel’s overburden, allowing for the detection and characterization of shafts and voids that require special consideration in the tunnel’s maintenance regime.
