Geoptic wins the OAA 2023 'Award for Equipment Innovation'

Geoptic were delighted to have the opportunity of attending the SPE The Offshore Achievement Awards in Aberdeen yesterday evening, where we received our 3rd national award within the last 4 months.

Geoptic is a trusted partner to a number of international engineering and geoscience companies, delivering innovative research, services, and instrumentation for their projects. Using naturally-occurring radiation known as #Muons, Geoptic offers the ability to image various objects including large engineering infrastructures, in a non-invasive and non-destructive manner. Geoptic has demonstrated that this so-called muon tomography technique may be used to address a wealth of industrial-based challenges - from embankment monitoring to civil infrastructure investigations.

It was an honour winning the “Emerging Technology Award” for our work in developing new instrumentation suitable for borehole deployments to support the carbon capture and hydrogen storage industries.

We congratulate all of the nominees for their excellent work, and send a particular thank-you to The Offshore Achievement Awards team for hosting such a wonderful event.
